After classical school, Patricia went to a professional school for 3 years to learn teaching. Her husband is a first grade teacher, and they have a little girl.   Mrs. Patricia is the teacher for our 18 preschoolers.  Since she started teaching in August, she has led the teachers and students in weekly exercise and singing every Friday, and has helped the teachers to become more of a team, having all of them meet together and teach a lesson. She recently led a fruit and geometry lesson with Marie Yves, where they worked with grapefruits and oranges to teach the students about vitamin C and the shapes of different fruits, and made juice for everyone.  She has been a driving force in teaching her class hygiene, new songs, French, exercise and fun play time.  She has been a huge help in the organization of school supplies and general school function. She loves Wings over Haiti. She has great love and care for children a lot and wants to see our kids learn well and develop well.

Daniel is the teacher for our 10 first graders, and has been with us since the opening in October 2010.  He specializes in teaching mathematics and French and English grammar.   He also encourages teamwork and leadership skills, as his class hold the leaders of the school.  He is furthering his education at a college in Port au Prince and looks forward to working with Wings over Haiti as we expand.

Marie Yves has been with us since the opening of the school in October 2010. She lives with her mom and family at home, with many little cousins and nieces and nephews. She has worked in schools for 9 years, and is currently the teacher for our class of 13 kindergarteners. She is a very artistic teacher and her students work on many hands on art projects as well as songs and dancing. Her class on a regular basis makes paper flowers, boats, paintings and drawings and paper purses and handbags.   She loves Wings over Haiti, and loves to work with children. She would love for the kids here to have a beautiful new school at the new property, so they can have space to learn and play and grow.  She says Haiti is a country full of catastrophe, and it is important to remember the children so they can grow up well. She is very thankful to all of the supporters of the school and volunteers and directors that come and visit us here. Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone!

Estania is an assistant teacher who helps with Patricia's class. She helps with teaching the class songs, and keeping the students on task.  She walks the preschoolers to the bathroom, and encourages hand washing throughout the day and before meals.  She says she loves Wings over Haiti because there are several beneficial activities for the children to experience.  She loves children and is very interested in furthering her education for teaching preschool and kindergarten.  She says education is very important for kids, especially in Haiti.  She is excited for the new school to be built so we can continue to grow and admit more students. She is very happy and thankful to work with the school and the Wings over Haiti team.

Rodine is an assistant teacher who works with Marie Yves and her kindergarteners. She help
s with keeping the class on task and works on teaching the students French songs and dancing. She is just completing her classical education, and would like to go on to nursing but always continue to teach and work with Wings over Haiti. She is enthusiastic to see the school advance and grow. Rodine is thankful for the love and work that Wings over Haiti does for kids, the village and for the country.
